About Free2B
Free2B are a inspiraional female music duo, who combine singing, rapping and dancing, to glorify the lord God almighty, and to be a inspiration to the world!!! Free2B means, empowerment from God to fufill a destiny, despite of the physical limitations and boundaries in someone's environment. Relating to us as a music duo, we are free to be, because God has already redeemed us, and because of this our music is a testimony of what God has done in our lifes. They were formed firstly in 2003 and were called ‘3style’. They started in a dance group called ‘Vision’, who performed on the behalf of their local church, ‘Outreach international Ministries’,at various Christian events/concerts and were featured on a program on both Ben and Obe tv called, ‘Keep it real’. 32B were known as 3Style for 2 years, until they separated in 2005, due to various reasons. In 3style the members included, Alisha Brown who was 15 at the time, Anika was 24, and Heva Brown who was 32. They were an entertainment group similar to TLC, as they all bought different elements to the group. Alisha was the main singer as she has a great voice, she arranged most of the vocals alongside with Anika, and was a perfectionist. Anika was the fun of the group, she made up creative and crazy dance moves, and has a high and soft voice. And Heva was the like the manager of the group, as she was very organized and serious about the vision. She also wrote many of their songs, she danced and Rapped on their tracks. After 2 years of working on solo projects, Heva felt that 3style needed to come back together as a professional group and release the songs they had written in the past. So they re-joined last May 2007. Alisha was working on her own projects at the time and wasn’t sure whether she wanted to join the group, due to the level of experience she had vocally compared to the other members of the group. But despite a few doubts, she agreed in the end. The group changed their name to Free2B, because they are so different in terms of style and level of musical experience, also they don’t want to be limited or conformed by the music industry. It also means through Christ Jesus they are free to be what he has called them to be. Free2B have been recording with producer Clive Melborne, CEO of ‘highly exalted ministries’, from April 2007 and have performed at a few local church events, clubs and concerts, since recently Anika left the group. Now Alisha nearly 20 and Heva 38, are both getting ready to take the world by storm, by getting exposure through the Internet, live performances, radio and other mediums. They’re developing their voices and dancing skills, to an advance level, to present them as the total package. They have a life-changing message, especially concerning women, and will continue to share their belief in Christ Jesus. Future plans include a single and ep release this year 2009. Performance list: •Performed with Dynamic Singers at London Spirit event at Sadler’s Wells: 2004 • Perform with dance group Vision at Church Concerts every 2 months 2002-2004. •Performed with Vision on Ben TV, on ‘Keep it real’, Sky channel 184. •Perform with Free2B (formerly known as Freestyle), at the ‘Not another Drop’ event, in support of the Against Knife and Gun Crime Campaign 2005. •Free2B Performed at countless local Gospel church events 2005-2009. •Performed at Embassy Lounge Club May 2008 •Performed at Club Fabulous twice in 2008 •Free2B performed at Lifted up 2 Gospel concert Oct 11th 2008. •Free2B performed at The Bedroom Bar November 2008. •Free2B performed at Generation X Factor February 2009.
