About Grant Moff Tarkin
First of all Grant Moff Tarkin is a rock-band. Our music has been described as grunge, psychedelic garage-rock and sixties rock. We do, however, often leave bas and drums behind, for Huddie and Julax to play some acoustic songs by themselves. One categorizes them in this line-up under folk, blues or singer-songwriter.

Quanah's Hunting Day is Grant Moff Tarkin's first full-length CD effort – the successor to their 2005 debut EP 'Age Old Moods'. It was produced by Tom Van Achte and features guest contributions from Absynthe Minded organist Jan Duthoy and Hypnos 69 saxophonist Steven Marx. It has become a heavily loaded album, presenting Grant Moff Tarkin in all of its variety: at one time rooted in early '90s grunge, at others in '30s delta blues, '60s pop, and '70s psychedelica. At all times it captures the intensity of the shows that have gained Grant Moff Tarkin a steady live reputation.
Grant Moff Tarkin got off around the turn of the century, when singer Julax and guitarist Huddie started writing songs together. In the spring of 2006 the band was joined by drummer Damien (also a member of Taqueule). Bass player Fons (a.o. K13, The Scabs) completed the quartet in september 2007. Both musician's talents proved a perfect complement to the eclectic style Huddie and Julax had been working on for years. Quanah's Hunting Day is their first communal effort as a band.
Grant Moff Tarkin has elaborated a live set that offers both variety and energy, which has brought them to stages such as Muziekodroom (Hasselt), Hof Ter Lo (Antwerpen), BilboRock (Bilbao, Sp), Platformtheater (Groningen, NL) or the Northern Sounds Festival (Lens, Fr). In 2006 they were selected to be part of AB Cocoon. In collaboration with the Ancienne Belgique Grant Moff Tarkin did a variety of promo and recording sessions, and were programmed as the support to international acts such as The Lemonheads (US) and The Fiery Furnaces (UK).
