The Crypt's standing as a live music venue in the south-east is second-to-none and it's reputation for representing the forefront of new music is legendary. It has championed the alternative music scene from the days of Punk, through Goth, Grunge, Britpop and beyond with weekly club nights and live music from some of the leading bands in the World. It was in the vanguard of the Dance Music revolution as well, with world-famous DJ's John Digweed and Danny Howells running regular club nights in the 90's.

The Crypt has played host to many hundreds of live acts including: Gil Scott-Heron, Eddie Reader, Coldplay, Travis, Ash, Reef, Supergrass, The
Selecter, The Bluetones and The Fall.

The Crypt is in the very centre of the town and its entrance is through The Dime Bar in Robertson Street. It is open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10pm 'til 2am, but can be open 7 nights a week with special events and gigs.

Directions By Road
From M25. Leave M25 at Junction 5 onto the A21 (Sedlescombe Road) into Hastings. Continue along A21 (Sedlescombe Road - London Road). The A21 will bear left into Bohemia Road. Bear left into Cambridge Road then left into Cambridge Gardens. Bear right into Cornwallis Terrace, then turn right into Havelock Road.

Directions By Train
From Hastings Station head towards Hastings town centre from Station Approach. At the traffic lights cross straight over to Havelock Road the past the Brass Monkey on the right hand side (approx 300 yards down) to the end of the road. Turn right into Robertson Street and the Crypt is located 50 yards on the right-hand side opposite the large Debenhams - approximately a 2 minute walk.
