Die So Fluid - Spawn Of Dysfunction

Review:
Die So Fluid's long awaited debut album 'Spawn of Dysfunction' quite simply oozes quality. From track 1 right through to track 10. Dark, un-pure, adulterated metal at is very best. Crashing riffs, impacting vocals and blasting drums pull this masterpiece together brilliantly.

As far as debut albums go I was certainly impressed. Having seen them live a few months ago I can say they perform equally well in person as they do on disk. Grog's vocals are certainly something to be admired, as well as Drew's guitaring and Al's drumming, and with a whole host of effects added in they have produced something they can certainly be proud of. The contrast of mind-blowing metal which eases into soft harmonics sounds too good to be true. There’s not a single track on this album which is boring. Writing this is amazingly hard as i'm trying to pinpoint specific points which stand out. But, there aren't any. Every single track has something which makes you sit up and take notice...

Think a female fronted Deftones with a few hints of punk and contrasting breakdowns for good measure. I’m listening to this album as I write this review and i’m constantly trying to find my favourite track - but, I can't. This album is gold from start to finish. One track I have to point out though is 'Disconnected'. The raw vocals and acoustic riff really makes you want to play this cd over and over and over again.

If you only get to listen to a handful of tracks from this album I recommend the following; 'Bitterness By Discipline', 'Spawn of Dysfunction', Circus of Sin', 'Tripitaka', 'Kiss the Floor', 'Disconnected', 'Brainwash', 'Draw a Line and Cross It', 'Suck Me Dry' and 'Chasing Dawn'. Oh wait... that’s 10 tracks, which would in fact be the whole album. Point proven...
