Review:
I'll be perfectly honest when I say that, usually I'm quite hesitant of former members of relatively successful bands creating something new. The reason being is if I ever hear the words 'musical differences', it's often in this kind of situation.

Storm Engine appear to be contradictory to my preconception! On hearing the simple, yet effective introductory riff of Crazy Games, I'm drawn in as effortlessly as the bass line. Without missing a beat, these four lads have really hit it off with the funk genre. Their uses of samples blend wonderfully with basic guitar chords in a build up to the chorus of this song. In which, the band come together and create what can only be described as a contagious funky riot.

The vocals never fail to amaze me, and I can't help but feeling Vocalist George can sometimes sound slightly like a hillbilly, but nonetheless they're perfectly fitting and his varying pitch really works well with the music. Whilst the main vocalist, Ryan complements him brilliantly.

Without The Edge is a deceiving little number. Initially I thought it would be their mellow song (Come on, every band has one!). Again, they've shot out all my preconceptions. With the fast moving bass-line being the only instrument following Ryan's beautiful vocals, and with the subtle introduction of a pleasant guitar riff, I feel it's an easy mistake to make. As the drums pick up, the song becomes another musical concoction that I dare anyone to stand still to.

All this said, I could go on, but I think you should listen for yourself. This is because my words can't touch on the talent that is flowing from the instruments and microphones of these four young men.
