Telegramme - Okay

'Okay’ is a song which grabs you from the beginning with excellent imagery and well written lyrics.

I really enjoyed, liked even, the intro and the way the guitar seemed to reflect the sadness of the lyrics. When Telegramme try to pick up tempo there are a few issues which make the song feel messy. Smooth those out though and this song has the potential to be anthemic. If anything the rawness raises the emotional level on which you connect to the song, but, keeping it simple would have done it more justice.

The softness of the melody and quietness of the music during most verses compliments this songs emotional depth, as does the subtle strength in the lead singer’s voice. As one of the first female vocalists I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing the power and range left me seriously impressed. The versatility displayed by Telegramme, the lead singer in particular, captures you. It would be great to hear an unplugged version of this song as its softness really is its strength.
