The Soviets - I Gotta Go

As the title suggests this song is in a hurry from the get go.

Sure, this lends it a fast and furious edge which catches your attention quickly, but, it's also the songs main downfall. The lead singer's excellent vocal performance gets lost within the music. This takes away somewhat from the talent which the band displays and the songs well chosen, excellently executed theme of youth and restlessness.

Having said that there's no denying the talent required for that speed of play, or, the energy it must have taken their singer to keep up with them. I imagine seeing The Soviets live would be amazing as merely listening to the song conjured up an atmosphere bordering on electric. I'd be interested in hearing a wider selection of songs from these guys as I feel they have a lot to offer.
