Review:
If you haven't heard of We The Kings yet then you are at the start of a very exciting trip. At first glance they may seem like any other pop punk 4 piece, but you couldn't be more wrong... Hailing from Bradenton, Florida, We The Kings have made an astonishing impact on the states, and now it's the UK's turn. Their debut self title album hits UK shores this September and is nothing short of a masterpiece. Unlike most albums which have the odd weak track shoved in there to give you 'more for your money' We The Kings have produced an 11 track wonder. From the very first track to the very last they tear apart conventional pop punk collaborations and inject it with their own unique flavour and style.

So what makes We The Kings so special? Every track is so energetic and lively that it's never given the chance to slow down or get boring. Every track, and I really do mean every track is unbelievably strong and a hit in its own right. On listening to this cd my favourite has moved gradually from track 1, right through to track 11, and I'm thirsty for more. The opening track 'Secret Valentine' seems too good to be true, with a poignant intro that instantly hooks your attention. With perfectly structured riffs, clear crisp beats, and the catchiest chorus you've ever heard, it's clear from the word go that this is going to be a blistering album. The album then moves on to 'Skyway Avenue' which without a doubt is going to be one of their more famous tracks. With a heartbreak story line and the sing along lyrics of "If you jump, I'll jump with you" it's already an instant favourite. "Check Yes Juliet", "Stay Young", and "Whoa" then follow suit with superb quality and even though we're only 5 tracks in I'd be happy to flash my cash at a merch stall in the blink of an eye.

Moving from one continent to another can be a difficult and unpredictable thing for a band. How will they be taken in my a new music scene, new crowds, and new venues? But We The Kings only need to be armed with this debut album and they can easily win over the hearts of the UK and the millions of new fans they are guaranteed to make. "August Is Over" will be a new favourite that people of all ages can relate to and a song that is certain to be chanted loud and proud whether at one of We The Kings upcoming tour dates or amongst friends. "The Quiet" and "Don't Speak Liar" are again tracks that will make a powerful impact on fans and new listeners alike, with lyrics like "Give me this one last fighting chance!" and "Don't speak liar!". In a genre that can get so mediocre and uninteresting, We The Kings have given it a much needed revival.

Everything about We The Kings is so well tuned and perfected. The vocals are so uplifting and soul inspiring; "I am not the kind that will hide beneath the lights and lyrical one liners, I can't stand the hype". The guitars, synth parts, bass, drums, and backing vocals are in their perfect places and craft each and every song into something that has been so well written and produced it's almost unbelievable. Heartfelt tracks like "All Again For You" sum up the blood, sweat, and tears that We The Kings have poured so generously into each and every track on this album. For a final track We The Kings finish with a truthful and powerful song about their upbringing, "This Is Our Town". An summary almost of their lives so far and the things that mean so much to them. The is really portrayed in their music and I think this is what makes their album so very special; it's completely honest. A story and passion that has influenced their music which really shines through.

So what's left to say about We The Kings and their debut album? This review can only do so much justice for an album which is beyond brilliant. In a nutshell We The Kings will hit the UK and take it by storm, leaving no stone unturned. An album on which every single track is the best song, an album which reinvents the pop punk genre, an album which you cannot live without.
