2002 - The year 2002 saw the very first version (or idea) of Messamusic.co.uk launched. Originally named 'BandHost', with a handful of bands and visitors under its wings it certainly wasn't the largest ezine or promotor around! After 6 months of running this very small website it was decided that a new name, and website was needed to bring things up to scratch...
2003 - In February 2003 the official music ezine and music promotor 'Messa Music South' hit the internet. Again it was of relatively small scale compared to todays Ezine, and still only dealt with a small number of artists and bands!
2004 - The site was revamped several times with many new (and interesting) designs! Again the name was still 'Messa Music South' and continued to run exactly as the 2003 version, although their were many new improvements and features! It even saw rise to a 'Messa Music South' compilation CD!
2005/2006 - Towards the end of 2005 the website was given yet another makeover and the brand new name of Messamusic.co.uk! Several shows were ran including a 'John Peel Tribute Show' and site was then left to tick along, collection many, many new artists and fans. With 10,000+ unique visitors in this period Messamusic.co.uk quickly became one of the top UK Music Ezine runners. However at the end of 2006 the decision was made to completely revamp the site and introduce our best ever version, including artist profiles, graphics, and the best FREE music promotion the world had ever seen!
2007 - For the first half of 2007 the site was completely down for maintenance and the site was constantly being reviewed and improved! However finally at the end of summer 2007 Messamusic.co.uk was up and running, and it is what you now see here today! Watch this space as we will update this section and add new and important updates whenever they occur...
